ISO 2015We are delighted to announce that in February 2020 Insight Media achieved ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard.

Here at Insight Media we pride ourselves on providing quality solutions and services to the public library market place and the most important aspect of our business is looking after our valued customers. 

It’s very important to keep existing customers, try and gain new accounts and maximise your business potential. These are key drivers for Insight Media along with maintaining a first-class service reputation and a customer service focused culture within our business.

Satisfying customers is our main priority and doing this in more effective ways would be a step in the right direction.  We have always had good working processes and procedures in place but we wanted to ensure that we are doing things right and as efficiently as possible.

My name is Anna Philpot and I joined Insight Media in 2015 as Office Administrator. During my interview it was apparent that the company wanted to move towards some form of a quality management system and that I would be involved at some stage in trying to make this happen.

Feedback from our customers on how we respond as an organisation and the way we manage projects has always been positive. However, Tony Wilson our Sales and Marketing Manager often states ‘Whilst we always receive positive comments from our customers, we should always be looking at ways on how we can improve things’. 

My role as Office Administrator covered all the relevant service areas within our organisation which helped me understand our strengths and weaknesses. We looked closely at the way we conducted our business with a view to trying to make improvements where possible that would help streamline our workflow practices and provide even more benefits to our customers.

The company made a commitment in 2019 to go down the ISO 9001 route and were aiming to have accreditation by the end of the year but that was slightly delayed.  Our journey to try and attain a higher level of customer service and achieve ISO 9001 certification, a Quality Management System that has customer satisfaction built in was realised in February 2020 and all the hard work by the Insight staff, we believe has paid off with flying colours.

When you choose to adopt the ISO 9001 quality management standard you’ll be required to establish exactly what your customers need and want, while continually monitoring and assessing your ability to meet and surpass these needs.
